Hello everyone,
This blog is a platform dedicated to showcasing the lyrics of Annette Peacock’s music. I chose the word poetries because I believe her lyrics and their meaning can stand on their own, beyond the music. However, her words are deeply intertwined with the sound—her wordplay, cadences, and prosody reach their full expression through the way she delivers them in song.
Over the years, I have gathered these lyrics from various sources—some transcribed by ear, others pieced together from low-quality images of inner sleeves found online, some from my own records, and some exchanged with other devoted listeners. I’ve also had the privilege of having Annette Peacock herself, through a Facebook group dedicated to her, correct some of my transcriptions. I intend to maintain this contact to ensure the greatest possible accuracy.
I will primarily publish these poetries in chronological order, following the progression of her works. My hope is that this archive will help spread her gospel—one that has been close to my heart for many years and has played a profound role in my growth.
